San Antonio Public LibrarySan Antonio, Texas
This new facility, designed by Ricardo Legoretta, serves as the main library in downtown San Antonio. Spaces in the library are arranged around a central atrium and include general lending, children’s books and geneology as well as assembly and administrative areas. Local architecture firm Ford, Powell & Carson provided interior design services. Bright colors reference the hispanic roots of this south Texas city. Custom-designed tables pay homage to the days of the Republic of Texas. Original, contemporary artwork in the entry lobbies welcomes patrons to this state-of-the-art library.
