Mason O'Farrell Parking StructureSan Francisco, California
This aging parking structure in the heart of downtown San Francisco was dark and uninviting and in need of a facelift. A feasibility study explored options for a total renovation and rebranding of the building. Phase I parking deck upgrades included new light fixtures, paint and enhanced wayfinding and pedestrian safety. This phase included significant study of color and font to complement the 1950’s art moderne style without being overly nostalgic. Phase II plans included extensive renovation of the building facade and ground-floor retail area.
