Golden Gate ConcourseGolden Gate Park, San Francisco, California
Design of this underground parking structure and related site restoration in Golden Gate Park was driven by landscape considerations. The project focused on the sensitive resolution of restoring and preserving an historic landscape. The two-level parking structure serves two new world-class museums located in that section of the park. It was constructed under existing roadways. Traffic studies were conducted to determine the best way to incorporate this structure into the existing fabric of the city.
