Academic Joint Use FacilityOcean Campus, City College of San Francisco, California
This facility serves four college departments. The building houses general and specialized classrooms, offices, computer labs, student services and a cafe. The building also contains the geothermal central plant which serves all buildings on this campus expansion site. The project is anticipating a LEED Gold rating. Key features include extensive natural ventilation, photovoltaics, a vegetated roof, a high level of energy efficiency, and abundant windows. The design team also collaborated with the client’s site consultants to maximize sustainability in the design of the site.
